What I do
I'm currently working for the University of Washington as a public information officer covering the College of the Environment. I write press releases for significant studies on climate science, marine biology, Earth and space science, physics, and more. I've successfully pitched stories to the New York Times, Associated Press, the Seattle Times, Grist and more.
Before joining UW News, I wrote freelance stories for Yale's medical school, MedShadow, Drug Discovery News and several local news outlets.
About Me
I grew up in Seattle and moved to Colorado for college, where I studied molecular biology and journalism. After graduating, I worked in research publishing for several years before deciding to pivot to journalism. I completed my master's in Science Communication at the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2024.
I'm based in Seattle, WA. When I'm not writing, reading, or eating, I'm probably outside – rain or shine.
